Zines

After experimenting with risograph printing, I fell in love with zine-making and other forms of alternative media. So much so that it has become my research emphasis for my Master's degree! Talk about dedication. As of now, I have had a hand in creating seven zines - five collaboratively and two for personal artistic expression.

The collaborative zine “Layered” was an amalgamation of months-long research about safe spaces and women’s experiences on college campuses.The zine contains photographs from the photo voice qualitative research method, which was part of a art exhibition focusing on memorialization.

COMO In Your Pocket

"CoMo In Your Pocket" was lovingly created by music staff members at KCOU, the University of Missouri's only student-operated radio station. It combines our love for art and all things Columbia, Missouri into one pocket-sized, collage-based, risograph-printed zine for you to enjoy :)

Machines For Empathy

I was asked to create a brochure zine for a student-led film festival at the University of Missouri. Movies shown revolved around a central idea of human connection and understanding. I physically collaged elements of the zine before scanning the masters in and riso printing. Overall, 40 of these zines were distributed to attendees,
